Not only are Anonymous taking down thousands of ISIS Twitter accounts and attacking their websites, but they’re also rickrolling terrorists.

Anonymous have been working tirelessly since the Paris attacks to shut down as many ISIS Twitter accounts as possible and to disrupt communication. It is thought 10,000 Twitter accounts have been taken down so far.

It turns out their ‘biggest operation ever’ also involves spamming ISIS members with the Rick Astley classic ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’.

Although the trolling might sound a bit petty, experts have said that one of the best ways to stop ISIS sharing propaganda through social media is to disrupt the messages. What better way than rickrolling?

We will not give up, we will not forgive and we’ll do all that is necessary to end their actions. This violence should not weaken us, it has to give us the strength to come together. We do not forgive, we do not forget. Expect us.Anonymous

The hacktivists’ biggest achievement has been shutting down a main ISIS forum which the terror group use to communicate. Although there is fear that Anonymous’ attacks could drive terrorists towards other platforms, making them harder to track.
