Coronavirus has been in the headlines again this morning after a Spanish tourist on holiday staying at the H10 Costa Adeje Palace in Tenerife tested positive for Covid-19.
The positive test led to authorities putting the resort into lock down with no one able to leave or enter the hotel complex as a precautionary measure, according to local media.
The Italian went to a private clinic in Adeje after feeling unwell for several days.
He was then tested for coronavirus and kept in isolation while authorities tested him for a second time, as per Spain’s protocol for suspected coronavirus cases.
He is now being treated at the University Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria where he remains in isolation.
