A huge 5.3 magnitude earthquake hits Croatia causing widespread damage

A huge 5.3 magnitude earthquake leaving at least one dead and causing widespread damage across the capital Zagreb.

The earthquake struck Croatia causing widespread damage and panic across the country.

The European seismological agency, EMSC, said the earthquake measured 5.3 and struck a wide area north of the capital, Zagreb, at 6:23 a.m. local time on Sunday morning.

It could be felt across five different European countries – Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Slovenia, and Austria.
