The now unemployed security guard decided he would add some eyes to the faceless painting i presume to improve the picture however the painting in question is called ‘Three Figures’ (1932-1934) from the Tretyakov Gallery collection and is worth an absolute fortune.
The damage is believed to have occurred on December 7, 2021, when the security guard is accused of drawing eyes with ballpoint pen on two of the three faceless figures in the painting.
The employee who worked for the security firm has now been sacked from his position and will probably not be protecting any valuable works of art any time soon.
