Temperatures are on the rise today with a maximum of 29c expected in the London area. Tomorrow however will see temperatures push higher still.
The long awaited blast of heat will see the mercury rise quickly with a maximum of 37c possible to the West of Central London. The intense heat is forecast to be widespread with many parts of England typically in the range of 28-34c
Unfortunately for those who enjoy the heat it will be a short lived affair. By Saturday a switch to Westerly winds will give the UK a cooler, fresher feel with only those in the East/South East hanging on to some warmer weather with temperatures around 25/26c
Looking further ahead model predictions point in the direction of high pressure dominated spells keeping the UK sunny and warm for the second weekend of August.
