
The UK is predicted to see the Hottest late August bank holiday on record as a Heatwave tempetures are forecast to peak this weekend.
A new record has already been set in Wales, which saw its highest late August bank holiday temperature (27.4C) on Saturday.
The Met Office expects temperatures to peak at 32-33C in southern England, surpassing the current record of 31.5C, which was recorded at Heathrow Airport in 2001.
On Sunday and Monday there’ll be plenty of sunshine, especially in the East, with temperatures expected to reach 23-29 for many parts of the county. It’ll be warmest in southeastern parts where temperatures are expected to reach 31-33C according to the Met Office.
