That’s due to the Spanish tourism board saying despite being a large source of income for the country, Tourism will be one of the last to return to normal.
People have also been warned some restaurants, bars, pubs and hotels may not open until 2021.
Minister of Labour Yolanda Diaz said lifting lockdown restrictions across Spain and its territories will be done in two phases.
Ms Diaz explained: “We are working on two phases for de-escalation, one for the summer and another for the end of the year.”
The process of reincorporating workers will be “gradual” and likely start in June, with larger companies and banks set to return to work first.
Leisure, culture and tourism sectors will be the focus of the end of 2020, with flights likely restricted until then.
