Brits urged to prepare homes for the worst Winter in Decades!

The residents of Britain are being encouraged to prepare for what could be the worst winter in 30 years.

The warning comes after climate experts at the University of London predicted extreme weather conditions over the next 4 months based on a study of current sea temperatures and the relationship with atmospheric conditions in the Atlantic.

They believe this could result in conditions worse than was witnessed in 2018 when the so called ‘Beast from the East’ brought heavy snowfall and temperatures down to -14c.

British Gas have also warned people to prepare now rather than waiting for cold weather to arrive.

Hannah Hughes a British Gas service and repair engineer said “Rather than wait until the weather turns cold before finding out somethings not working as it should be, We’re advising customers to prepare in advance.

Now is the time to test your boiler and make a few small changes around the home to ensure tour heating and hot water systems are ready to withstand the weather that’s coming.”
