Brits warned of dangerous Supercell Thunderstorms to hit next week!

Brits are bracing for some damaging storms next week with frequent lightning, severe downdrafts and large hail following another blast of scorching temperatures reaching close to the all time record with 38C possible tomorrow.

BBC Weather has warned the Thunderstorms will bring all the usual hazards with the main concern being large amounts of rainfall over short periods of time on to hard ground. More than 2inches of rain is possible in an hour with flash flooding posing risks to motorists, businesses and home owners along with the potential for powercuts.

Despite risks from Sunday evening onwards these Thunderstorms are likely to be most prominent on Tuesday and Wednesday when supercell storms could break out due to increased instability created by a second pulse of warm air wrapped around a weak area of low pressure pushing into southern areas of the UK from the continent.
