Frosty Christmas followed by 70mph winds before Widespread Snow hits the country!

No snow this Christmas but it will be cold and frosty for the entire country.

On Boxing Day we will see temperatures briefly increase as a winter storm hits the UK with 70mph winds and rain.

As the storm moves across the uk temperatures will start to drop and rain will begin to turn to snow over the higher ground before coming down to lower levels on Sunday in the early hours.

From the 28th onwards the weather is looking cold with a lot of snow showers in the forecast. Almost anywhere could see some snow on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Snow will start in Scotland before moving across the rest of the country. Even southern parts of the country could see some snow. These showers will be hit and miss but anywhere could see one.
