Garden Centre calculates just how cheap Christmas lights are to use per day

With many people looking to save money this Christmas people have been considering not bothering with Christmas decorations this year in order to save money after electricity prices sky-rocketed.

However one garden centre in Sapcote, Leicestershire has highlighted just how little Christmas lights cost with 8 hours a day usage over 30 days.

The costs worked out to be between 8p for 80 lights and up to 98p for between 2000 and 3000 lights for the entire 30 days.

The Sapcote Garden Centre said in a post on Facebook ‘These calculations are based on 34p per kilo watt hour (government price cap). This is just an example to show you that led lights are not expensive to run. Prices will vary depending on your energy tariff.’
