Heavy Snow heads South as the First Arctic outbreak hits the UK!

Much of the UK has enjoyed a mild spell recently however a plunge of bone chillingly cold air is set to filter South through Scotland and into England this evening and overnight.

This is expected to result in below zero temperatures for many particularly overnight Thursday into Friday.

Before that however we are faced with a spell of snowfall which will be heavy at times moving through central and eastern parts of the scottish highlands sinking South Eastwards, weakening as it does so before clearing North East England on Thursday morning.
