Showers will turn increasingly to snow tonight, becoming frequent and heavy at times and lasting through Tuesday.
The snow showers will hit Scotland, England and Wales giving 1-3cm on low levels, possibly even 5 – 8cm above around 150 metres.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for Snow and Ice for Scotland and some parts of northern England as snow showers move across the UK overnight, possibly leading to icy conditions on roads and pavements.
The showers will be widespread and anywhere may see a wintry shower mixed of Hail, sleet and snow on Monday night and into Tuesday.
Snow will gradually build, perhaps leading to accumulation of 10-15cm on the highest routes above 300 metres in Scotland and parts of Northern England.
