Ibiza & Majorca to close all bars, clubs and pubs due to Coronavirus

Ibiza and Majorca are closing all bars, pubs and clubs in an Italy-style lockdown.

The country has today seen the number of Coronavirus cases jump from just over 3,000 to 4,209.

The death toll has also skyrocketed from 84 to 120!

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced the country will formally declare a state of emergency tomorrow.

He said the government will undertake all necessary measures to protect its citizens.

The Balearic Government is also ordering the closure of all discos, clubs, pubs, nightclubs, gyms and sports facilities in Majorca and Ibiza in a bid to stop the spread.

“sacrifices” have to be made and has asked for the population to stay at home for the next 15 days.

Discos and clubs will have to close for at least a fortnight, after which there will be a further review.

All large events have been suspended and schools closed!
