ISIS bride Shamima Begum begs Brits to ‘put aside everything they’ve heard about me’ and give her a ‘second chance’ in a new documentary set for release today.
The documentary captures Begum, who fled Britain in 2015 to marry an ISIS fighter in Syria.
‘I would say to the people in the UK, give me a second chance because I was still young when I left,’ she tells the filmmakers.
‘I just want them to put aside everything they’ve heard about me in the media.’
The documentary – ‘The Return: Life After ISIS’ – will premiere Wednesday at the online Texas-based South By Southwest festival.
