A Meteor Shower Warning has been issued for the UK this weekend as hundreds of shooting stars are set to fill the night sky.

The Perseid meteor shower will peak between August 12-13, allowing stargazers to witness around 150 meteors entering the atmosphere every single hour.

The best time to watch it will be between 11:00PM and 4:00AM, meteors will be more visible under dark, clear skies. So try to get away from street lights.

You won’t need a telescope or any special equipment to see them. Give your eyes 15 minutes to adapt to the darkness and then look North East.
