Mars will appear brighter in the sky Tonight as it makes its closest approach in 17 years and it won’t happen again until 2035.
On Tuesday evening Mars will be a a staggering 38.6 million miles away from Earth.
When Mars and Earth are close to each other, Mars appears very bright. The Planet comes close enough for exceptional viewing only once or twice every 15 or 17 years.

In the UK, look east from around 1am. It will move south east as the night goes on.
