Martin Lewis, the Money Saving Expert, has issued advice to Brits on what to do about rising energy costs.
The energy price cap, the maximum amount any one household can pay for their energy in any one year is set to rise by more than £600, or 51 per cent, in April.
It is revised twice a year, once in April and once in October, and is predicted to hit £1,925 in April 2022.

It says most people are probably better off staying as they are right now, since all the deals out there at the moment are higher than the default cap.
However, it could be worth switching to a fixed deal if you can find one that is less than 40% more expensive than your current price capped tariff.
