MPs vote against Boris Johnson’s Brexit Deal Timetable

MPs have voted against Boris Johnson’s timetable of pushing his Brexit deal through parliament by his October 31 deadline.

Parliament voted 322 to 308 the government lost by 14 votes.

The setback came minutes after Mr Johnson’s deal was approved in principle by 329 to 299 after hours of debate in the house of commons, meaning it has cleared the initial first hurdle towards becoming law.

This now puts Boris Johnson’s Brexit deadline of October 31 in the hands of the EU on whether to grant an extension to Brexit or not.
