MPs vote to extend Lockdown laws until September!

MPs voted to extend lockdown laws until September – but Boris’s lockdown roadmap remains on track.

MPs voted overwhelmingly – 484 to 76 – to extend the emergency powers for another six moths.

Some MPs think that the laws are “out of step” with the lockdown easing, with all of life back to normal by the end of June and are calling for the rules to be suspended after that.

The PM’s roadmap is still scheduled for June 21 as independence day in England and Wales.
