Parents who decide not to send their children back to school will not be fined for keeping them away.

The governments detailed plan on a return to normal life says parents wont be fined for refusing to send the children to school, At least before the Summer holidays.

The issue was clearly one many parents had concerns about after a petition set up on registered nearly 500,000 signatures in just 24 hours and will be a weight off parents minds who were still concerned about the risks.

Despite this The government’s “ambition” is for all primary school children to get a month back at school before the summer holidays.

Given the holidays start in late July in many places, that means the aim is to get primary schools fully back by late June.

Clearly, all this could very easily get postponed – depending on the transmission of the virus.
