Piers Morgan has revealed that last weeks heatwave knocked him for six leaving him bedbound over the weekend.
The Good Morning Britain presenter admitted he couldn’t talk or breathe because of the illness.
Speaking to Susanna Reid he said:
I had heat exhaustion. I spent two days in bed. ‘Couldn’t walk, couldn’t talk, couldn’t breathe. It was like a utopia for all my critics.
Heat exhaustion is quite unpleasant, I’ve discovered.’ ‘It’s very unpleasant,’ replied Dr Hilary Jones. ‘Headaches, dehydration, not being able to sweat.’
Piers added: ‘I just slept it off. Was that the right thing to do?’ ‘Yes,’ Dr Hilary said. ‘Plenty of fluids.’
