Rare Red Alert issued as Storm Arwen hits UK with Blizzards and 100MPH winds!

The Met Office has issued the rare warning for wind tonight, with gale force winds forecast to be as high as 90-100mph and waves as high as 32ft.

Brits have been told they ‘should not travel under any circumstances’ as Storm Arwen is set to batter Britain from tonight and into Saturday.

A red warnings has been issued for the south west of Scotland as winds up to 100mph could cause pose a danger to life.

A Yellow and Amber warning has been issued for north east England, north west of England, Yorkshire, West Midlands and the East Midlands with winds up to 70mph.

Temperatures are set to fall sharply as the storm moves across the UK, snow and strong winds will cause blizzard conditions in some northern areas. 

Snow showers will start from about 8PM tonight and into the early hours of Saturday morning but not everywhere will see snow.
