Spain to welcome back tourists in July

The Spanish Prime Minister has said the country hopes to open his borders to foreign holidaymakers in July.

Pedro Sanchez has told the country’s tourism industry to prepare for a summer season.

He said: “There will be a tourist season this summer.

In a message directed to foreign tourists, Mr Sanchez said: “From now, foreign tourists can plan their vacations in our country.

“We will guarantee that tourists will not run any risks and they will not bring us any risks.

“There will be no opposing forces between health and business.”

At the moment Spain still has a 14-day quarantine period in place for all foreigners entering the country. This will last at least until June 7….
