Tory MP who called for Boris to go defects to Labour

One of the 2019 intake of Tory MPs has walked out of the party to join the Labour benches.
Christian Wakeford, who took the red wall seat of Bury South in the last election, had already called for Boris Johnson to go, revealing he had put in a letter of no confidence last week.
But he has now quit the party and joined Labour who have welcomed him with open arms.
A very warm welcome to Christian Wakeford MP!

This will be a further blow for the Prime Minister Boris Johnson who is facing a potential vote of no confidence following ‘Partygate’ that could lead to the PM being forced out of office.
