Trains, Buses and roads were all extra busy this morning as thousands upon thousands more commuters get back to work following the lifting of some restrictions.
Some were clearly not following government advice with many people not wearing face masks. Whilst not mandatory the government do feel if the majority of commuters wear them then the risk to society as a whole is much lower and may risk a feared second peak.
This all comes after Boris Johnson’s address to the nation on Sunday evening in which he said anyone unable to do their jobs from home should be ‘actively encouraged’ to go back to work. This includes the 2.7 million Britons working in manufacturing and the 2.4 million in the construction industry.
