UK hits 34C for sixth day in a row for first time in nearly 60 years!

The UK has reached above 34C for the sixth day in a row for the first time in nearly 60 years.

Temperatures hit 34.6C in central London today, marking the first time since at least 1961 that there had been six consecutive days of 34C or above.

Tomorrow will still be hot in the south east but temperatures are less likely to be above 34C.

Thunderstorms will also continue though-out the rest of the week until Monday. Temperature will begin to drop next week to 20C-22C.
