Weather warning issued as Storm Dennis is set to hit Britain with 90mph winds!

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for England and Wales as Storm Dennis heads towards the country.

The yellow level warming covers the whole of England and Wales and will come into force at 12pm on Saturday – lasting until midnight.

The weather system, named Storm Dennis, will bring wind gusts of up to 80-90mph.

A  Met Office spokesman said: “Storm Dennis will bring very strong winds and potential for disruption to many parts of England and Wales on Saturday.”

Gusts of 50-60 mph are expected widely with coastlines forecast to get gusts of 70-80. This will be accompanied by heavy rain at times.

Wind gusts could potentially even reach up-to 90mph in rural areas exposed to the coast.

In a statement the Met Office : “Storm Dennis is expected to bring a range of impacts, including delays and cancellations to transport services, damage to power supplies and large coastal waves.”
