White Christmas confirmed as Heavy Snow to hit UK!

There are two scenarios for Christmas, one model is suggesting, wet & mild and another is showing cold & snow. So which model is right?

There is currently a 60% chance, a weather front will approach from the south-west on Christmas night and into the early hours of Boxing Day.

As the band of rain moves into a cold air, it could potentially turn to heavy snow across northern England, Wales and the midlands.

If this happens snow could accumulate up to 10-15cms in some northern areas. However, both models show rain for southern areas.

Snow showers are also expected for northeast England on Christmas morning.

It is still early days and there is still a lot of uncertainty but we will continue to update the forecast as we approach the weekend.
