Winston Churchill statue defaced with graffiti during protest in London

Extinction Rebellion have defaced a Winston Churchill statue during a protest in central London today.

Photos show the iconic monument sprayed with the word “racist” in yellow graffiti.

It comes after the historic statue in Parliament Square was targeted twice during the protests in July.

This afternoon protesters were seen leaping on cars as thousands of XR protesters have gathered in central London.
